The Network running TRRUE Chain will be a Consortium of trusted and reputable corporations with suitable IT infrastructure and adherence to ESG principles.

This Consortium type of blockchain presents the optimal balance between the positive and negative effects of decentralisation. While public blockchains provide security through an open, highly distributed network, making it more difficult to achieve a 51% attack, these large open networks are often slower because of the larger number of nodes required to reach consensus and confirm transactions for each subsequent block in the chain.

Consortium blockchains such as TRRUE Chain have less nodes and so can reach consensus at greater speeds. They still achieve the transparency and auditability benefits of decentralisation due to the distributed network, while security is still maintained by the IT systems and trusted nature of Consortium Members. The result is a much more efficient and practical DLT system.

The Network Consortium is aligned with the broader corporate strategy as the permissions being granted to Validators allow for traditional contractual arrangements between members of the Network. The duties and obligations of Validators are clarified with legal terms & conditions, while transparent operations and immutable DLT records support regulatory compliance.
