Tiana is a regulatory compliance expert and business adviser with extensive experience working with international financial services and technology companies. After qualifying as a lawyer in the United States, she worked as a litigator in large international maritime disputes. She then took a role in Risk Advisory consulting with KPMG, where she created anti-money laundering frameworks, fraud risk management programmes and project managed high-profile forensic investigations. Tiana then joined the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), where she supervised and monitored financial services providers as part of the Supervision Team and designed sustainable regulatory policy Solutions as part of the Policy Legal Team. At the FMA Tiana provided ongoing advice and governance support to the Board of Directors and was appointed as a Licensing Subject Matter Expert to the Financial Advice Legislative Reform project. As a consultant and Board advisor, Tiana works with international clients on regulatory business strategies, RegTech and FinTech product development, governance, licensing applications, anti-money laundering programmes, and all facets of risk and compliance. She is a Regional Ambassador for the Association for Women in Cryptocurrency and a contributing member to the International Impact FinTech (GIFT) think tank.
