Owen O’Driscoll Chief Executive Officer
Owen’s keen interest in sustainable horticulture led him to formally study horticultural science at Munster Technology University to leverage the coming shift towards natural products and widespread integration into the agricultural sector. As a lead ambassador for Aeternity blockchain, Owen has represented a blockchain company at events and conferences, building brand awareness and promoting the company’s Solutions. Through this experience, he has developed a strong understanding of blockchain technology and its potential applications across various industries. Owen has also worked as a blockchain consultant, advising businesses on the potential applications of blockchain technology and how it can enhance their operations. His expertise in the field has helped clients navigate the complex world of blockchain, enabling them to take advantage of the technology’s benefits while minimising potential risks. Owen is a start-up founder in the fintech and crowdfunding industry who has developed and led a team of developers, marketers, and financial experts to build a powerful platform that enables individuals and businesses to raise funds online. In addition to his accomplishments in fintech and blockchain, Owen has a background as an entrepreneur. He pioneered the Subway food and beverage franchise within Ireland from 2008 until 2018, growing the retail offering in Cork to three locations.
Arjan van Eersel Chief Technology Officer
In addition to co-founding TRRUE, Arjan was a co-founder and CTO of Sonemas. He is a certified developer for several blockchain technology frameworks and networks, and brings expertise in business consulting, system architecture, software development, and corporate governance. Arjan previously served as the Chairman for the Foundation for Open Software Development, and in Director roles for Euroria Group, Vertinum Europe EOOD & Co. KD, and ISpire Corporate Services.
Eoin Motherway Chief Of Staff
Eoin has 30 years of experience in senior governance and operational roles across global financial institutions, including BNY Mellon, State Street, and Goldman Sachs. As the former lreland Country Head at The Asset Management Exchange (AMX), he successfully led its operations, growing assets under management to $60 billion. Now serving as Chief of Staff at TRRUE, Eoin leads strategic operations and compliance, focusing on regulated and digital asset sectors. He also holds independent roles as an lndependent Non-Executive Director (lNED) on Central Bank of lreland-regulated entities such as Coinbase and chairs the lnvestment Committee for the Western Development Commission. Eoin is a Fellow of the lnstitute of Chartered Accountants and a Certified lnvestment Funds Director. He completed the Executive FinTech Program at Oxford's Sa"d Business School and holds a Master's degree in lT from Dublin City University.
Pearse Ryan General Counsel
Pearse is a corporate co-founder and lawyer, operating across the FinTech, high-tech and sustainability sectors. Pearse practiced law for 20+ years with Irelands largest law firm, of which 17+ years was spent as partner in the firms Technology & Innovation Group, where Pearse specialized in the areas of FinTech, high-tech, cyber security/fraud, cyber insurance, digital transformation/cloud computing, commercialization of technology innovation/technology related IPR and e-Commerce. Pearse acted for a broad range of start-up suppliers of innovation and technology-based Solutions, as well as established/ institutional clients looking to enable business change via technology implementation, including many financial institutions. Pearse is a co-founder of several innovation and technology-based-start-up's, including TRRUE. He is interested in technology-based innovations and extracurricular activities include chairing the Blockchain Ireland Legal & Regulatory Working Group, as well as being a member of the steering group of Blockchain Ireland. Pearse is a frequent writer and speaker on technology-based innovation, including FinTech and cyber security topics. As chair of the Blockchain Ireland Legal & Regulatory Working Group, Pearse is currently engaged in organizing a report writing exercise, which assesses the Ireland legal position on digital/ crypto assets, smart legal contracts and data protection, scheduled for publication in Q2 2024. Reflecting his interest in the intersection of sustainability and finance, Pearse is currently a student on the Institute of Bankers/ Compliance Ireland organised Professional Diploma in Sustainable Finance for Compliance Professionals, completing in Q1 2024.
